Adult Programming

Jewish learning doesn’t need to stop with your B’nei Mitzvah! This Adult Programming committee works together to develop programming for adult-oriented programs.  Programs include informal gatherings and film nights at the synagogue or members’ homes, speakers and forums at the synagogue, “outings” to the Jewish Film Festival and other relevant lectures and activities in the area.  We are always open to new members of our committee and to programming ideas from all members.

Please send ideas for programs and groups to beitahavah@gmail.com

Adult Programming Events & Programs:

Please see our Calendar for a more comprehensive listing of events and additional/updated information!

Community Torah Study – 1st Monday of the month, 7:00-8:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to join the monthly Community Torah Study, held the first Monday of every month, 7:00-8:30 p.m. on Zoom, led by members. URJ chumashim (Torah texts in English and Hebrew) are available, or members can bring their own (any version is fine).  On-line commentary and weekly Torah portions are found here on ReformJudaism.org.

HaDrachim (Young Adult Havurah) – once or twice a month, 5:00-7:00 p.m. A discussion-based Havurah for young adults (20s-30s) in the Jewish community to come together, talk, study, laugh, discuss, and figure our their Judaism(s) outside the context of services. Each month, we meet for a “content meeting” to explore an aspect of Jewish life/culture/identity/history that we are interested in learning more about. We also often hold a second, more informal meeting each month to either follow-up on the month’s topic, hold a Shabbat dinner, have a movie night, or just spend time together!
