LOCATION & dIRECTIONS
Our House of Love
Beit Ahavah is fortunate to share the sacred space at the historic Florence Congregational Church, now transformed into Bombyx Center for Arts & Equity. Here we hold our Shabbat and holiday services, community events, offices, Rabbi’s study, meeting areas and kitchen (we love Onegs and kiddush!). We have been welcomed by the members of the Florence Congregational Church pastors and members since our founding as a new synagogue a quarter+ century ago – not only to “rent” space, but to make it our home and collaborate on many things. It is a beautiful building with many meeting spaces and is wheelchair accessible, and it is now a dynamic and creative hub of arts, music, dance, education, social justice and multi-cultural celebration since Bombyx Center for Arts & Equity birthed an inspiring sponsorship of this historic property during the pandemic. Some of our events are livestreamed, hybrid or Zoom-accessible as well as in person.
From Northampton, take Route 9 West to the center of the village of Florence. At the 2nd light, take a left onto Maple Street. Take the second right onto Pine Street, and the building is one block up on the left across from the Sojourner Truth Memorial Park triangle, at 130 Pine Street, Florence, MA 01062. There is parking in front of the building, behind the next door community center, and on the street.
