Adult Programming

This Adult Programming committee works together to develop programming for adult-oriented programs.  Programs include informal gatherings and film nights at the synagogue or members’ homes, speakers and forums at the synagogue, “outings” to the Jewish Film Festival and other relevant lectures and activities in the area.  We are always open to new members of our committee and to programming ideas from all members.

Adult Programming Committee events & programs:

Community Torah Study – 1st Monday of the month, 7:00-8:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to join the monthly Community Torah Study, usually held the first Monday of every month, 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Memorial Room, led by members. URJ chumashim (Torah texts in English and Hebrew) are available, or members can bring their own (any version is fine).  On-line commentary and weekly Torah portions are found here on ReformJudaism.org.

Jewish Book Group – once a month, 7:00-8:30 p.m. Invigorate your mind and spirit at Beit Ahavah’s monthly Jewish Book Group! Usually held the third Monday of the month in the Memorial room of Beit Ahavah. Started by new member Anne Bussler, Jewish Book Group has quickly picked up speed and become an integral place to gather as we read, discuss, and reflect in ways that connect us to each other and to our faith.

Family Movie Nights – once a month, 7:30-9:00 p.m. Beit Ahavah’s Adult Programming committee screens a new movie to enchant and enthrall our congregation and community on the second or third Saturday of each month. Join us as we laugh, sing, nosh, and mingle at this family-friendly event. Admission is free! All are welcome and there will be refreshments at intermission to purchase. Held at Beit Ahavah.
