Grades preK-3 & Family Fun
RUACH community school is a child-centered supplementary program for kids and families that meets on Sundays 3:00 – 4:30 p.m., with lots of additional opportunities for community and family events, including Friday night Tot Shabbat and Kabbalat Shabbat services, Saturday morning Shabbat B’Yachad (Sabbath Together), family and holiday celebrations, gatherings, Hebrew aleph-bet through movement, art, cooking, Torah stories, values and crafts. RUACH Arts and a new MishpachArts program work together with our Tot Shabbat Family Service monthly gathering (musical service and Sha-potluck dinner community) on the 1st Friday of the month at 5:15 – 6:30 p.m. led by Marlene Rachelle with Rabbah Riqi.
Programs for this age group involve Omanut (art), spirituality, Torah stories, holidays, values, Hebrew reading, Hebrew letter movement, prayer, cooking, Kids Tzedakah Shuk and family fun with art and exploration.
Beit Ahavah begins the year with dynamic High Holyday family services on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur that are interactive, community-building, musical and involve puppetry, dance and spirituality on the themes of these important high holidays, led by Anna Sobel — Jewish educator and musician, creator of Talking Hands Theater and Animal Torah CD.
Sukkot holiday family events and RUACH classes launches after the High Holydays.
