Updates on our Jewish communal life during COVID-19:

While Beit Ahavah is not using our sacred space for group gatherings until it is safe to do so, our congregation is very active meeting online and in other alternative ways for services, learning, meetings and life cycles. We are guided by Jewish precepts including: “To save a life is to save the world.” Read a message from our Rabbi about the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) and ways to connect HERE:

We created Kesher Minyans and Ahavah (Love) Connectors to reach out to community members, and to enlist others for help such as with shopping. If you would like to be contacted or wish to serve as an Ahavah Connector, please fill out the Google sign-up form here.

Support Beit Ahavah while giving loved ones the sweetest gift there is: Honey for the new year!

Jars will be shipped to friends and loved ones in late August to arrive in time for Rosh Hashanah (Sept. 18, 2020), beautifully packaged and with a personalized card that says “Shana Tova—Wishing you a Healthy and Happy New Year.” The card lets recipients know a donation has been made in their honor to Beit Ahavah. Honey jars are $12, which includes the cost of shipping anywhere in the US if ordered ahead by July 21.

    • The Daily Hampshire Gazette, 2/05/20, “The witnesses: Jewish activist group heads to U.S.-Mexico border” – Ten members of the Jewish Activists for Immigration Justice of Western Massachusetts travel in Brownsville, Texas/Matamoras, Mexico to witness, protest and provide assistance and comfort to children and families being forced to wait for months in dangerous and squalid conditions. 
    • The Daily Hampshire Gazette, 10/29/18, “Crowds Join Vigil in Northampton in honor of 11 slain at Pittsburgh Synagogue”  – On Monday evening, well over a hundred people including the mayor walked a mile with candles in hand from the Unitarian Society downtown to join over 600 at Congregation B’nai Israel in a community vigil gathering of standing room only led by Rabbi Riqi Kosovske and Rabbi Justin David in response to the anti-Semitic killing of 11 people at Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh. 
    • The Daily Hampshire Gazette, 9/10/18, “Reform synagogue welcomes all-comers for New Year” – Open doors are a vital aspect of the synagogue’s mission. “We encourage anyone who’s curious… and would like to come along,” Lauri Meade said.
